For some reason it just adds a creaminess to my smoothies and oatmeal. I am sure you can use rice milk or coconut milk if you prefer, but both those options have more sugar and calories.
Almond Breeze has sweetened versions, which may taste better, but I prefer adding my own sugar with fruit or cocoa powder. It's a fantastic substitute for milk if you want to move away from dairy. Hope you give it a try if you want to cut some sugar out of your diet!
